Q: How do I schedule a session?
A: You can use the contact form here on the website, email me or call me directly at 214.554.0493. Once I hear from you, we will talk about what you are envisioning for your portraits. We can also discuss clothing, any props, etc. during that consultation. It is best if we have a phone conversation, so we are all on the same page. However, if you prefer to connect via email, we can do that too! I am also happy to provide a “What to Wear” guide for your session!
Q: How can I expect at my newborn session?
A: Newborn sessions are a lot different than any other photography session. They can last from 2-4 hours, with the average session being about 2.5 hours long. Most of this time will be spent soothing, feeding and posing your baby. With over 40 hours of formal newborn posing and safety instruction, you can feel safe and secure that your little one is in good hands. I will snuggle, rock, pat and shush your baby in a gentle, calm manner just like you do. A lot of my clients even leave the session with a few “baby whisperer” tricks to try out at home! Q: What do I need to bring to my session?
A: I have basically everything you will need for your session, except YOU! For newborns, I have all props, blankets, outfits, etc that you see being used in my gallery photos. I also have maternity and child dresses in all sizes that you are welcome to borrow for your session.
Q: What does the session fee include?
A: The session fee includes my time and talent. It also includes any pre-consultations for your session. Of course, it also includes your session time as well as full editing of your portraits. All products, prints and digitals are purchased separately at your viewing and ordering session.
Q: What products are available?
A: I offer a variety of archival quality products. After your portraits have been edited, we will meet for a design consultation and ordering session. We will talk about the spaces you are envisioning displaying the new portraits. I will work with you to choose the right products for your vision. I offer several products such as gallery wrapped canvases, several types and sizes of albums, announcements, etc.
Q: How much can I expect to spend?
A: My portrait clients, on average, invest a total of $1,500 – $2,500 for their session and products.
Q: What are your product/print/digital prices?
A: Individual prints start at $40 and wall mounted portraits (11×14 and larger) start at $100. Collections begin at $795.*
Q: Is there a minimum purchase requirement?
A: No, there is no minimum purchase required.
Q: How many pictures can I expect from my session?
A: Your session will give you a variety of photos to create collages or place in an album. A typical session yields 25-40 hand-edited images.
Q: When do you schedule your sessions?
A. Outdoor photography sessions take place either early morning or just before sunset. This allows us to take advantage of the best possible light for your portraits. Studio sessions (including all newborns) can be scheduled at virtually any time. Though, I typically start newborn sessions in the morning as babies are usually happier then.
* Prices are subject to change without notice and any future orders placed will be at the current rate.
NOTE: Sessions are not on the schedule until the non-refundable retainer has been paid and the session contract has been signed.
